What's the difference between pre-owned and CPO?

Higher standards. While every pre-owned model is given a complete inspection, vehicles in our Certified Pre-Owned program are held to the brand standards outlined by our manufacturer. That means that Lincoln has given our technicians the requirements needed for certification, so each model undergoes intense testing before it can qualify. Plus, CPO vehicles must also fit into age and mileage requirements outlined in the program.

What should I watch out for in a pre-owned car?

Whether you’re buying your vehicle from a private seller or a dealership, examine everything from engine performance to fabric stains. Bear in mind that most pre-owned cars will have a few cosmetic dings, dents, scratches as well as general wear and tear. Test-drive the vehicle and listen for any mechanical issues (like squealing brakes), and test every function from cruise control to the air conditioning. How do I know that I'm getting a good price?

Why should I buy from a dealership?

We hate to repeat ourselves, but higher standards. Private sellers have no legal recourse for deceiving you, and with a brand like Lincoln, taking a risk with such a purchase might be unwise.
